Athletics
Sports starts in 5th grade at OLW and we aim to promote physical development, teach sportsmanship, and inspire camaraderie and school spirit. Students can be involved in cheerleading, girls and boys volleyball, girls and boys basketball, girls and boys track and cross country, co-ed soccer and girls softball (in some years). We welcome all students who are interested in participating in one of the OLW sports teams.
OLW uses an outside platform to manage registration, to show all team practice and game schedules, and to share pictures. There is a mobile app as well to make it easy for you to keep track of practices and games. Click here to be redirected the OLW Wildcats Athletics page.
The OLW Athletic Board is a group of interested OLW school parents and/or parishioners who work to improve the function and enhance the quality of the athletic and athletic-related activities of the school for the benefit of the students, the school and the parish community. It is a separate entity distinct from the OLW School.
For the majority of sports, OLW competes in the Northwest Catholic Conference (NWCC) and plays against area schools, including St. Alphonsus, St. Anne, St. Emily, St. Francis, Holy Family, St. Hubert, St. James, St. Mary, Queen of the Rosary, St. Raymond, St. Theresa, and St. Thomas. For more details including standing and school locations, please click Northwest Catholic Conference website and come to cheer on the Wayside Wildcats.
